Cherrydale Farm keeps a relatively small flock of around 30 sheep. We have been raising South African Dorpers for 6 years and had a commercial flock before that. We still maintain a small number of Dorper crosses that have our original commercials in them.
We have found the Dorper to be the ideal breed, their hardiness and adaptability, as well as their easy care and fast gain has made them a pleasure to raise. The Dorper is a hair and wool mix which sheds if not shorn.
We also raise Bernese Mountain Dogs and Australian Kelpies and are heavily involved in herding.

About Your Breeding Program:
Our first Dorpers were Black heads coming from Quickheels in BC. We then imported White headed embryos from South Africa and now have both kinds of Dorpers. We have made ram sales all across Canada and are also always looking to bring new (quality) blood into our lines.
